Kunkel tractor and refrigerated trailer on the lot

We want expertise in sales and freight to make us better.

The Kunkel Company is a Minneapolis-based wholesaler. You will buy produce from premier suppliers and sell to industry leaders. We find trucks for lanes when there aren't any to be had. We do the impossible and make it seem effortless.

We do this by making tough phone calls early and often. Some people hide behind email. That is not us. We are on the front lines to make things happen and get things done. Our current team of ten isn't small, it's lightweight. Agile. Every move matters.

Customers have trusted us since 1951 with their most valuable commodities, products that need to be delivered or people will literally starve to death. They count on us to ensure there are potatoes at the store for your Thanksgiving meal or the pineapple you see cut up at graduation. That's us.

We have a winning team because we care about the scoreboard, not the titles.

You win by getting a truck to arrive on time. We don't care how difficult it was to pick up, we only care if it delivers. Our on-time arrival is unmatched at 99%. If we're late, we failed the customer, we lost. We track on-time delivery and claims. Here, we want someone who loves winning just as much as they hate losing.

Our core values are the cornerstone of our company because the points on the board don't matter if you cheat.

You have the discipline to make tough decisions.

We value leaders who want to find deals and make long-term relationships.

You have the integrity to not cut corners.

We trade with the same people over and over again. Our customers trust us and come to us because they know we can deliver. Integrity creates our trust. We count on long-term gains with long-term people. The continued business creates stories you look back on. Those stories are what build our relationships.

You strive to get better through challenging feedback.

With our team, we value the perpetual learner. We embrace accountability with the reward being responsibility. Mastering a skill requires seeking out critiques, not waiting for the problem to show itself.

You have perseverance.

People who look for the shortcut, the hack, are not welcome. If you want that, you won't find it here. The biggest gains in life come from short-term suffering.
